The Deadline
Times like the past month is probably why the phrase 'flurry of activity' was invented! And indeed it has been that. And it is the deadline of 361 degrees, my college newsletter of which I am an editor, that has been the primary reason for this flurry of activity.
So much happens in a month, from thinking of themes for the issue to executing the theme; from photoshoots for the cover page to writing articles and making collages; from collecting articles to placing them on the right page; from sending it to the printers to receiving newsletter, finally tangible.
But once the newsletter is out, all this activity comes to a screeching halt. It's like being at a big party- music, dancing, the whole shebang - and in an instant it's all gone.
And then it's just dead quiet.
